What can we say? We really like Osijek.
This time while visiting our favorite Croatian city we staid at the lovely Park Apartment.

Our Review of Park Apartment in Osijek
We found Park Apartment through an internet search for the best apartments in Osijek to rent and decided to give it a try (we’re really glad we did because it’s quickly turned into one of our preferred places to stay in Osijek).
Here’s our full review of the apartment:
Location – Full Star
The apartment is located directly across the street from a quiet little park, and is also adjacent to Night Club Cadillac. Talk about the best of both worlds; a playground for our kid within spitting distance and a spot right next door to grab a coffee.
As if the immediate location of the apartment wasn’t impressive enough for us, the city center, and old historic city center, are both within a short walk’s distance away as well.
Shopping, entertainment, coffee, parks, museums, and just about everything else worth doing or seeing in Osijek is incredibly easy to reach from Park Apartment.
The neighborhood is quaint, charming, and not at all the sort of noise level you’d expect from such a large city as Osijek.
We rate Park Apartment a full star for it’s prime location in regards to the best to do and see in Osijek.
Atmosphere – Full Star
Park Apartment is one of the few rental’s we’ve experience with a genuine “magic” atmosphere about it. To sum it up in a sentence, Park apartment has something of a new-wave steampunk atmosphere in a fashion similar to the world famous Hard Rock Cafe.
From the moment we walked in the door the decor and layout of the place immediately impressed us and put us in a nostalgic mind-state. The design of the apartment is a wonderfully unique blend including antiques gadgets and old photography, modern art, a full-size wall mural, and beautiful wood and iron work throughout its entirety.
We could say a lot more about the atmosphere of the apartment, but, we think you get the picture (if not, take a LOOK at the pictures in our gallery and see for yourself)!
Accommodations and Amenities – Full Star
The furniture throughout Park Apartment is both retro and modern and offers the utmost comfort in addition to just looking really cool. The kitchen is completely updated and super clean, as is the minimalist yet gorgeous tiled bathroom. The lighting in the place is totally excellent as well and are controlled by touchpads.
The apartment has a giant and super comfy bed on the middle floor, as well as a sofa bed up on the loft. The loft is personally my favorite spot in the whole apartment (as a writer, it is just a super cool space to work in), it has a great view of the park across the street yet is completely private and absolutely comfortable.
There’s an awesome stereo system with wall-mounted speakers you could hear a city block away if you turned them up all the way, a flat-screen Sony TV hooked up as a computer monitor, a water heater, hair dryer, refrigerator, microwave, full-sized stove, sink, and just about everything else you’d hope to find in a state-of-the-art apartment too.
And, as far as the little things go, the apartment was stocked with supplies such as coffee, sugar, shampoo, soap, toilet paper and all the other basics you miss out on at many hotels and hostels. We really couldn’t have asked for better.
Staff and Service – Full Star
The owner of the apartment met us with the keys at the agreed time, let us in, and was on his way after completing the paperwork promptly. We really appreciated his professionalism and polite nature (it makes us cringe when we get stuck having to chat for half an hour when we really just want to unpack and rest).
Anytime that we needed something during our stay, the staff was right there to take care of the issue or help us out with whatever we needed. That said, we didn’t really need to bother them much as everything was already provided for us upon our arrival.
When we needed directions on how to get around town from the apartment, again, the staff was more than friendly and helpful in giving us directions. We actually enjoyed a of chatting with the staff over the four days we staid here because they weren’t pushy at all and were down to earth normal people just like us.
Cost Per Night – Full Star
The cost per night to rent the Park Apartment seemed a tad bit high to me at first, in comparison to other apartments in the area with lower prices. That said, almost the same moment I walked in the door I instantly felt the opposite (like we had gotten a discount on a great apartment – which is basically the truth of the matter).
All things considered, the cost per night is subject to change, but at the time of this review, we paid something close to $100.00, possibly slightly more, for three nights.
After staying at Park Apartment, and getting to know the area a bit better, we feel like the cost per night is a genuinely great price.
5 out of 5 Stars
We give Park Apartment, based on the above-listed criteria, a most definite 5 out of 5 stars rating.
The cost is more than fair for the level of accommodations and comfort offered with the apartment, and the staff’s service couldn’t be more polite and professional.
The apartment itself is one of the coolest we’ve staid in while traveling in the region for sure!
