During one of our multi-night trips to Osijek earlier this year (2020), the IN Caffe was one of the coffee shops that we stopped at to relax, blow a few clouds of smoke, and down a couple cups of coffee.
Location – Full Star
The IN Caffe is located along a side-street, with a handful of other coffee shops. It is pretty close to the center (just a few minutes walking distance), which is a big plus.
The place has a raised and closed-in terrace, with semi-comfortable chairs (at least they have cushions – clean cushions), and sturdy tables.
The interior of the terrace has extra lighting, TVs, and fans. In other words, it has everything that makes for a decent coffee shop.
Atmosphere – Full Star
The neighborhood that the In Caffe is located in is bustling, and has a nice energetic atmoshpere to it. And, as we mentioned above, the interior atmosphere was equally nice and comfortable.
The staff of the coffee shop were also quite professional, but laid back (just how we like it).
When we visited, it must have been in between busy times because there were not many other customers. Normally, the place is packed out when we pass by.
Needless to say, as we are pretty private people, we enjoyed the atmosphere very much.
Coffee – Full Star
As for the coffee, we tend to order espresso, white coffee, or coffee with sweet cream. This time we ordered espresso and white coffee, and it was absolutely tasty.
The worst part about a lot of otherwise great coffee shops is the quality of the actual coffee, or the temperature.
The IN Caffe served up exactly what we ordered, quickly, and piping hot. It may not seem like much, but it earned them some major points with us.
Staff – Full Star
The IN Caffe staff, when we visited, was an older gentlemen who obviously knew his way around the place. He was professional, friendly, and approachable.
I am pretty much border-line anti-social, so I am not the best judge of charactor when it comes to service at coffee shops. I want my coffee, and to be left alone.
That said, this IN Caffe staffer receives full stars from me, as well as my wife. He did his job well and I am sure we left him a tip.
Price – Full Star
The price for our coffee at the IN Caffe was approximately 20 kuna (roughly 3 dollars – for hers and mine). For Osijek, and truthfully anywhere these days, that is a good price in our book.
In comparison to other coffee shops in Osijek, we have paid more, for worse service, and less quality coffee, in many instances.
5 out of 5 Stars
Based on our experience earlier this year, we rate the IN Caffe 5 out of 5 stars, with flying colors.
If you are in Osijek, and looking for a quick cup of Joe, or a rather long one, we highly recommend the IN Caffe if it isn’t too far out of your way.
